Adapting Your Event for COVID-19
The plans you had for your 2020 event are out the window because of COVID-19. What do you do now? Well, you don’t simply have to abandon your plans and give up. There are plenty of options for Michigan gatherings, meetings, and parties that can still keep participants safe while allowing your event to take place. It’s important to know how to best adapt your event for COVID-19 guidelines in the state of Michigan.
Adapting Your Event for Michigan’s COVID-19 Guidelines
There are a lot of things to consider when planning an event during normal circumstances. Throw in the guidelines put forth for public safety during the Coronavirus and you’re dealing with quite a bit to juggle. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to adapt your event in Michigan so it can still occur this year.
With fall in full swing, you can still have outdoor events in Michigan. We recommend heaters since the temperatures are definitely colder. At outdoor events, the state of Michigan requires all guests who do not live together to stay six feet apart. If you plan on an indoor event, you also must keep guests six feet apart as well as wear masks and limit the guest count.
One more thing to consider: rental equipment needs. If you’re looking for a way to hold your event in 2020 or 2021 with adapted offerings, talk to us about your needs for tables, chairs, heaters, and more. We thoroughly sanitize all equipment and ensure you have everything you need for your event. Give us a call today to talk about your event.
Planning the Perfect Fall Party
There are a ton of reasons to celebrate this time of year! With the holiday season kicking off with Halloween, there are a lot of exciting opportunities to gather safely, visit, and best of all, throw an amazing Fall party. The trick to a great party this time of year is to pay attention to the details that make people happy to stick around, rather than have them wondering when it’s time to go. Have no fear! Here are some sure fire ways to make sure you’re planning the perfect Fall party!
The first and easiest way to make or break a party is the general atmosphere. Open areas with tables and chairs and rent a tent and heaters to ensure the party not only looks good but so that you can properly social distance, so everyone stays healthy while having a great time. With a tent, you’re protected from the elements enough to ensure comfort, but still able to enjoy the gorgeous transition weather that occurs this time of year! Plus, tents make a great tool in staging a party. Staging is important because it gives people an idea of boundaries in which they can explore and mingle.
When it comes to fall party basics and essentials, be sure to plan the best party you can by renting from Your Event Party Rentals. With everything you’ll need for your party, planning is a breeze when you work with us.
Your Event Can Still Happen in 2020
From work meetings to family reunions, events do not look the same in 2020. It’s for everyone’s best interest that we abide by the latest safety guidelines set forth by the state of Michigan. Luckily, there are guidelines in place that still make it possible to hold your 2020 event. Let’s go over the newest rules to see if you can still hold your next meeting, gathering, or party.
Everything to Know about Michigan Events in 2020
For a lot of us, the plans we put in place for 2020 events in Michigan aren’t going to work the same as we thought. Luckily, the state of Michigan’s guidelines still allows for gatherings with some restrictions. Outdoor events are still preferred with social distancing guidelines of 6 feet between people who do not share the same household. Now, there is an allowance of 30 people per 1,000 square feet or 30% of a space’s fixed seating capacity with a maximum number of 1,000 people. The same six feet rule applies to indoor events but with a cap that depends on the size of the space. Indoor gatherings of up to 20 people per 1,000 square feet or 20% of the room’s fixed seating capacity with a maximum number of 500 people. The CDC recommends mask wearing at all events.
If you need to rework your event for 2020 or want to take advantage of the gorgeous fall season, it’s not too late to make your event happen.
